Soooo, it's Christmas soon(ish). And, in time-honoured tradition, I am going to make a stab at doing the annual 78-fic challenge on
12dayschristmas. However, as I'm also trying to be better at commemorating national events of generosity, I am asking that if anyone's got any requests for fic, that they submit them and I will work them into the challenge. Because I have 78 fics to write, people :D
So please feel free to ask! You know the fandoms I know of - pretty much anything I've done for
40fandoms is probably fair game (except possibly Heroes, because I find that really difficult. >_>) Gen or pairing is fine, although I don't think I can write things above R, so... yeah. Help me be generous rather than just sating my own twisted urges! ;)
(In other news, creative writing class is making me write haiku. I am finding this incredibly difficult. The haiku we had as examples are beautiful, simple moments that flow. Mine are clunky and sound like they have too many useless words in. Still, having said that, I managed to write one this evening that wasn't as bad. And it is good for my brain, I think. It's kind of like doing anagrams or something in poetry form.)

Darkness falls early
January, the cold month,
Freezes my fingers.
You have to give January the full 4 syllables, though - which most people don't, so I always wonder whether I've cheated. Anagrams in poetry form - I think this is the best description of haikus EVER.
Argh, you wrote beautiful Alicia/Ginny for me last year, and I am now trying to get it out of my head to think of something else I might like.
Ooh, HP Genfic in which someone like Pansy Parkinson or Petunia Dursley demonstrates why she acts like she does, and which defends their position without making it sound defensive. (So, basically, so that you see their point of view and even if you don't agree, you understand why people might have that POV.) It can be someone else if you want, but it just needs to be a 'evil' character who actually has damn good reasons for the way s/he acts...
ETA Please can it be a female character, actually?

(I think it would be more cheating not to give January the 4 syllables. I mean, that's how many it has. My two cents :p)
No problem! I will see what I can do with unpleasant females ;)

* Aftermath of Sayu's kidnap, or variation thereupon. You do those well.
* BR Kaori's descent into madness.
* I don't know why, but I'm determined to get someone to write Mikami & Matt sharing a flat for some reason, so I submit that as a request. :P
* The girls from Mallory Towers back at home for the summer, missing each other in ways they didn't expect themselves to.
* A Harriet Jones fic. I care not for context, so long as she kicks ass. Actually, pair her with someone. Again, I care not who, so long as she tops.
* 1984 Ministry of Love, Julia's tale.
* Being Human; George and Mitchell's common interest in a normal life, possibly pre-houseshare.
* DN is extremely good for Day 10, I think.
* I know you said avoid Heroes, but how about getting Hiro talked out of doing something over-enthusiatic/possibly totally stupid by Ando?
* Torchwood is always good for a ripe picking of fic scenarios. I'm going to propose something creepy, like... Adam/Tosh mind-control kink. While the weevil watches. Ohhh yes.
Also, are crossovers allowed? As much as I'm amused with the idea of Knightmare, with the Kira Taskforce as dungeoneers, that might be better suited for 40_F instead :P
no subject
I... gyaaah... why... um... okay, Knightmare with Kira task force as dungeoneers is definitely going to be written at some point, either now or in Lent XD (I don't outlaw crossovers as a general rule for this challenge, I'm just saving the really cracked-out ideas for 40_f >_>)

I think Haiku are difficult in that there is sometimes too much to say and so little words create a restriction rather than freedom. I would be interested in your poetry too, as I think you've only posted fics? I love poetry and would be happy to share some of mine, if you'd like.
Oh, and it was nice to see of you again, it's been awhile. <3

Yes. I'm finding it easier when I write a haiku literally about one short moment - trying to pack too much in just ruins it.
I rarely post original stuff/poetry on this LJ, but if I manage to write the week in haiku, I may put that up so I can be admired for actually doing it! ;) What kind of poetry do you write?

I loved the short stories that you sent me. There is so much subtly and not only are the characters incredibly well written, but genders too. I truly admire the complexity of relationships and situations created with simple and powerful language, and the fact that the work is short makes it that much more powerful. "Stories" where Tetsuo is recounting the different scenarios which may had lead him to be orphaned and the one in which he is speaking to,(for lack of a better phrase) Kaneda's corpse are my two(of many) favorites.
Oh, Syllables are painful at times. There are times where I read back to something I wrote, and it's like "Wait..What? How do I pronounce this again?" Yeah...then sounding out with one's fingers ensues. :P
Right now I'm trying to focus on a straight narrative, but when I do right poetry it is stream of conscious to create a story of sorts. I would be honored to share any with you, as I haven't shared or published any yet, thus having no actually feedback. But, I know sometimes it is difficult to read others' work when trying to write your own. And I, no way want to impose.
But, thank you dear. I patiently look forward to your LG Christmas goodies. <3

Awww, I'm glad you liked them! I had a lot of fun writing them, I do remember that (especially that one about Kaneda's corpse, actually >_>) so I'm glad they brought you enjoyment #^_^#
Hehe, yeah, my friend told me when I'm trying to write haiku I sound like I'm doing maths problems XD
You're welcome to PM the poetry over to me if you'd like although I can't promise particularly coherent feedback! I find poetry very difficult to write but generally enjoyable to read ^^

I would like to take you up on the PM offer, I appreciate any feedback, coherent or not. :)

Also, kinky GG habits? You write that sort of thing really well and I am also a pervert so yes.

- *inhales* Owen/Ace. Preferably S1!Owen.
- The lighthouse girls being all awesome. Possibly all of them in the lighthouse versus Kiriyama.
- Um...pre-movie Keita interacting with people (who may or may not be Shinji or Yutaka)? Please?
- PC Andy/Gwen/Rhys love (or at least affection) triangle fic. *proceeds to beg*
no subject
With the last one, you want something like Andy and Rhys both heart Gwen and she has feelings for both of them? Something like that? *wants to make sure she gets things in the right order, as it were*
no subject
Just...anything would be fine. I don't even remember seeing any Rhys & Andy interaction in canon (except maybe in Children of Earth, but I'm still deciding whether or not I count that as canon. *smirks*), which was a shame as they were both awesome in a...very Welsh way. I just want Gwen, Andy and Rhys in a fic. Acting like normal people (or, alternatively, a normal person and two police officers).
no subject
And Hiroki fic. I like your Hiroki. Maybe interaction between Hiroki and Takako?
Let me know if you want more suggestions and I'll try and think. And I will make a note of your preferences re the normal person and the police officers ;)

More is always good. Also, should I do more Ranger!fic for the challenge? Or would it seem a bit...I don't know, repetitive?
(I'm thinking of having the BR/JSR:F crossover being a themed day. *looks embarrassed* But, hey, more confused!Noise Tank!Shinji!)
no subject
Can you write Donna at all? I heart Donna and can't write her properly, so I'd love to see fic of her being awesome.
I don't think the Ranger fic would seem repetitive but there is a lot of backstory to it, so it might be confusing to people who aren't you or me?
no subject
I...have never written Donna before, but I could give it a go. Um, ooh, we're never told what Donna was doing during the year that never was.
Which is what the epically long summary is for. :D
no subject
Oooh, I'd very much like that! Go for it!
Point taken ;)

Kazuo Kiriyama/Merlin. Possibly with some angsting about Arthur. YOU. KNOW. YOU. WANT. IT. ;) (you can make it mordern AU if you like which can cover all multitude of sins. Or Merlin can be time-travelling. Or hell, KIRIYAMA can be time travelling. Hey, you know you want that tag to be used again!)

When you say AU, do you mean 'tweak canon so they can be happy' or 'it would be AU because they weren't together in canon' or 'they're in a different time/place'? Let me know and I will add it to my list! ^^

I'm excited now! I patiently look forward to it. :D
