Soooo, it's Christmas soon(ish). And, in time-honoured tradition, I am going to make a stab at doing the annual 78-fic challenge on
12dayschristmas. However, as I'm also trying to be better at commemorating national events of generosity, I am asking that if anyone's got any requests for fic, that they submit them and I will work them into the challenge. Because I have 78 fics to write, people :D
So please feel free to ask! You know the fandoms I know of - pretty much anything I've done for
40fandoms is probably fair game (except possibly Heroes, because I find that really difficult. >_>) Gen or pairing is fine, although I don't think I can write things above R, so... yeah. Help me be generous rather than just sating my own twisted urges! ;)
(In other news, creative writing class is making me write haiku. I am finding this incredibly difficult. The haiku we had as examples are beautiful, simple moments that flow. Mine are clunky and sound like they have too many useless words in. Still, having said that, I managed to write one this evening that wasn't as bad. And it is good for my brain, I think. It's kind of like doing anagrams or something in poetry form.)

Yes. I'm finding it easier when I write a haiku literally about one short moment - trying to pack too much in just ruins it.
I rarely post original stuff/poetry on this LJ, but if I manage to write the week in haiku, I may put that up so I can be admired for actually doing it! ;) What kind of poetry do you write?

I loved the short stories that you sent me. There is so much subtly and not only are the characters incredibly well written, but genders too. I truly admire the complexity of relationships and situations created with simple and powerful language, and the fact that the work is short makes it that much more powerful. "Stories" where Tetsuo is recounting the different scenarios which may had lead him to be orphaned and the one in which he is speaking to,(for lack of a better phrase) Kaneda's corpse are my two(of many) favorites.
Oh, Syllables are painful at times. There are times where I read back to something I wrote, and it's like "Wait..What? How do I pronounce this again?" Yeah...then sounding out with one's fingers ensues. :P
Right now I'm trying to focus on a straight narrative, but when I do right poetry it is stream of conscious to create a story of sorts. I would be honored to share any with you, as I haven't shared or published any yet, thus having no actually feedback. But, I know sometimes it is difficult to read others' work when trying to write your own. And I, no way want to impose.
But, thank you dear. I patiently look forward to your LG Christmas goodies. <3

Awww, I'm glad you liked them! I had a lot of fun writing them, I do remember that (especially that one about Kaneda's corpse, actually >_>) so I'm glad they brought you enjoyment #^_^#
Hehe, yeah, my friend told me when I'm trying to write haiku I sound like I'm doing maths problems XD
You're welcome to PM the poetry over to me if you'd like although I can't promise particularly coherent feedback! I find poetry very difficult to write but generally enjoyable to read ^^

I would like to take you up on the PM offer, I appreciate any feedback, coherent or not. :)
