Is it wrong that I feel worse for Ide than I do Matsuda? I mean...yeah, Matsuda died, but Ide has to live with survivor's guilt knowing he did what he did out of self-preservation. Nice stuff.
Anyway, it was a pretty fantastic story! I have to admit the traps didn't make me squick as much as some of your other Saw fanfics, but that's okay because I think the guilt serves as a greater wound than the mutilatory stuff. I also really loved how you characterized the two and how Ide just wouldn't get along with Matsuda almost on general principal, even if it meant saving both of their lives.
