I found Manipulations to be totally hot. Like, I would watch the hell out of a show featuring Light. I would probably give a bit more consideration to Kira, too, if only because there really aren't that many female characters of this caliber to be found in anime/manga (recs welcome!), so it would be interesting to reframe Kira in this new Light (bad pun totally intended!)
