Because I knew the two dubs were different, and I wanted to see how different - not to mention it makes a good reference tool. (I don't have subs for the Japanese dialogue - my DVD simply sticks on the subtitles of the 2001 dub. It's annoying.) Wow, that's interesting. I remember reading also that the actors would only learn their lines a day before the performance, and would have no idea of anyone else's until they were up on stage. Scary.
