Pirates and a dead man's chest

Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 last night. It was very enjoyable - I thought it was much better than the first film because the humour was more integrated, the serious bits were more interesting, and everyone got their characters rounded out more. Unfortunately I kind of ended up wishing it would end because the last train was at 11:18 and we went to an 8:30 showing... in the end it finished at like 11:12 and I ran out of the cinema and down to the station (five minute walk, I DID IT IN FOUR YO) and caught the train. Unfortunately I ran so hard that it felt like I'd been punched in the chest and I've been a little wheezy all night and this morning. I think I've now established why I'd die in a Battle Royale - I just wouldn't be able to run fast enough ^^
Came on the Net this morning to find that one of the comms I'm in had a post how everyone on it kept whining and moaning about their situation and should just relax because no one cared and no one was out to get them. I personally find it very annoying to be told to relax, because if you are relaxed, you start getting irritated that people assume you're not (I get this quite a lot because I have a naturally loud voice so it sounds like I'm getting impassioned when I'm not) and if you're not relaxed, you feel even more annoyed. However loads of people have come out of the woodwork saying 'yeah, this comm is so whiny, I have to keep taking it off my Flist, I wish people would just give it a rest, relax, people!' so I'm not taking a stand on this. I made one comment agreeing with someone else that it sounded like the OP was slagging off everyone who dared to make a non-positive post on the comm, because it didbecause s/he sounded a touch sanctimonious.
I probably do need to relax, and I'm not OMG EMO TEARS OF SAD over this, I'm just slightly annoyed.
Actually my little sister told me to stop using the word 'emo' so much on Thursday and I didn't respond in a very relaxed fashion to her, either.
I fail at life. Awww.
And now I'm feeling unrelaxed about not being unrelaxed, zOMG this is ridiculous! ^^
Anyway, bah to the Internet. I shall check my university e-mails and then go and dry my hair.

Date: 2006-07-15 09:54 pm (UTC)See, I think relax is mostly only a good word when someone is actually panicking, rather than getting cross. Like when you gently said I should relax regarding exams - that's because I was going "OMG EWWW, MOMMY!" and therefore being told to breathe was quite good.
*snugs* Sorry about annoying comms. And about difficult trains. *snugs*

Date: 2006-07-17 07:46 pm (UTC)Cold air can mess me up, too. If I run in cold air, the cold seems to wear away at my throat. I've lost my voice that way. O_o
