I'd fallen behind in reading this, but caught up now and... yeah. I love how we're actually down to the final five, but there's still no real leaning toward an outright winner. I have my hunches, but it still could be anyone, which makes it awesome.
Also I love how my mind is drawing parallels between these characters and BR ones, and yet the MT girls are still maintaining their sense of self. I started off saying I was going to interpret this like an OC story/OBR situation, and you've not let me down.
*squees* Both your comments (the unpredictability and the way that the girls aren't BR rip-offs) make me really pleased - thank you! And thanks for reading *dances*
Well, you know I didn't want to see this coming and if I'd followed through on my original 'good girls can't win' thought, then I'd have picked it, but I got too caught up in MT being Darrell's series.
Well done on how it happened. It really couldn't have panned out any other way.
Darrell, Mary-Lou, Bill and Ruth - these were the ones that had me reaching for the tissues.
I'm looking forward to the end, and then I'm going to read the whole thing through from the start. And finally I'll be able to discuss it at book club as we don't meet again until mid-November, so it will be finished. I recc'ed it on our newsletter, so hopefully a few more of us will be able to talk about it.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you thought it worked out in the "right" way. I also know what you mean about it being Darrell's series, it felt really odd to decide not to let her win or escape, but I chose not to in the end.
I'm really pleased the scenes affected you emotionally :D
Ooh, it's cool to think of people discussing it. Once again, thank you very much for reading and all your nice comments! I hope you like the last chapter (which I posted earlier tonight).
