The week that was, a week late

So, I went to visit lycoris for a week, which basically entailed hanging out with her and eating cake. My brother was there for most of the time too, which was also awesomesauce, as I don't see him so much these days.

Stuff we did:
- went to the Beatles Museum and developed irritation for John Lennon (it was still a good museum, though, with a bunch of different exhibits varying muchly in mood)

- met rushikayu13 IRL for the first time, which was very cool. We chatted about Doctor Who, Death Note and Battle Royale, and also went to an exhibition on bugs where I watched Lycoris handle a millipede (I refused to hold any of the bugs as I'm not good with holding live things in general *flashback to when she still had friends with hamsters*)

- met robert_frogg again and played board games with her. She also brought her plushie Raito, who is strangely adorable for a plushie serial killer

- briefly met la_localfreak again which was shiny

- got halfway through staging a police officers' Battle Royale in which my brother announced he would only take an advisory role and then pretty much acted out solo the entire thing :D He also had a splendidly insane portrayal of Hayashi from JSRF, which may have traumatised us all a little

- got to read the Death Note doujinshi brought Lycoris, read most of Enid Blyton's St Clare's series, and reacqauint myself with Bruce Coville's Aliens Ate My Homework series. Regarding the last of these, I am now firmly convinced that Grakker and Snout are going out and no one is going to change my mind



I think that's it. Currently sleepy. Had a nightmare that I was watching the Saw movies and trying to remember how to get out of the various traps. Woke up too scared to move and may have gone and searched living quarters to check there were no creepy puppets lying in wait for me >_>

Oh yes, meme (I can write the answers in longhand. I am slowly building up stuff written in longhand. Building up more can only be a good plan :D)

Oh, man, Aliens Ate My Homework...I haven't read that in yeaaaaaaaaars. Last book I read was a cliff hanger; wonder he ever did more and resolved that?

There were four altogether, the last one being "Aliens Stole My Body", which didn't end on a cliffhanger but with everything resolved but with space to carry on if Bruce Coville wanted to. Did you only read the first three? Because I remember the third book has a pretty cliffhanger ending.

Ah, okay, yeah - I only read the first three, then. The third one ended with the main character's body having been stolen (hence the title of the fourth book, natch!) and his mind inside his pet's body.

That's it! So yes, the cliffhanger was resolved in the fourth book, "Aliens Stole My Body" *nods*
