It's November, totally Christmas time

So, as is my wont, I am hoping to do the 12dayschristmas challenge again this year. For those of you not aware of this, it involves writing 78 fics by the end of 6th January, on themes set to a bastardized version of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

As this is a lot of fics, I am once again taking requests. Please do say if there are things you'd like to see me write! I have managed to fill most requests in past years so there's a good chance I'll do it ^^ Also, it doesn't matter if you want to do the challenge, or don't - or write fic, or don't - or if we hardly ever speak or whatever. I'm not looking for reciprocal offers. This is, rather, a plan to reduce the amount of thinking I need to do ;)

Fandoms I am generally happy to write in: Death Note, Battle Royale, Akira, Jet Set Radio, Malory Towers, Doctor Who, Portal (1 only)

Fandoms I will make a game attempt at (but may not know all the nuances of canon for!): Harry Potter, Azumanga Daioh, Merlin, Jet Set Radio Future, KareKano, Detective Academy Q, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Torchwood (S1-3)

I will also do Saw crossovers on occasion >_>

Happy (usually) to write R-rated fic; and feel free to ask for fandoms not on the list. I CAN ONLY SAY NO :p

Ooh, sounds like fun! :D I like Azumanga Daioh, too, although I'm generally inclined to write much less for it than say, Death Note. Too happy, maybe?

Okay, then, prompts/requests...I think that, maybe...

*Matsuda and Ide, first Christmas after the events of Kira (I'm reading all your stuff but am not up to date so you might have done this...)

*Chiyo-chichi (big yellow cat thing from Azumanga) is a shinigami and at least one of the girls has a Death Note.

*The Doctor meets L. :D

Yeah, I actually find it really hard to write AD fic. Maybe it is because it's too happy and too comedic? I find it quite hard to replicate the comedy, and serious fics are very different tonally from canon.

Yeah, I think that's it. It's hard to keep up that zen-like quality it has, too, without making it just boring and monotonous. It's a shame, since it was my first anime and I'd like to be able to replicate exactly what I love about it. Cross-overs are a little easier, though, since there's always the tone of the second canon. Otherwise, too serious things about Azumanga Daioh I'm not really keen on.

^^ It could, actually, also be New Year because I don't think that Christmas is as big in Japan. I think it's still acknowledged, though. Either way, I look forward to seeing if that or any of my other prompts inspire you. :D

Yes. I don't go to AD for angst, I go there for silly conversations about nothing that make me nostalgic for my own friends.

I think New Year is to them what Christmas is to us, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again!
