Spirited Away

Ooooh, so pretty. I absolutely loved the light in this film. Someone who understands how eerie, and how beautiful, sunlight can be! And the other good/weird thing was that so many parts of the unusual world seemed to be things I remembered imagining, they fit my idea of what a strange world should look like.
The plot dragged a bit in the second half, but overall it was really good. I see why everyone raves about Studio Ghibli's animation.

Ah, I adored Spirited Away – and, heck, all of Hayao Miyazaki's movies that I've seen. My favourite is Princess Mononoke, especially once I found out that Neil Gaiman did the English translation. Squee.

Hah, I'm glad you actually understood the Gaiman reference. Yes, it's a brilliant movie. I like the dub better – and I'm not just making a point; it's wittier than the sub.

Well, I've only read Good Omens and Neverwhere, but I thought they were both great. I'll definitely make time to watch it over the summer.
