Last night I actually had an Akira/Battle Royale crossover. It was really cool.
I dreamt that Yamagata was getting beaten up by the Clown gang, when suddenly all of them were gassed and carried off to a room with a swimming pool (?) in it where it was explained that they were going to have to fight to the death. I was Yamagata by this point, and decided I wouldn't complain about being picked up by accident because the Clowns would really want to kill me as they'd notice I wasn't one of them.
We were all let out onto the island (it's always an island) in a body, and the Clowns immediately started chucking their home-made pipe bombs at each other (apparently the authorities had decided as these were ruthless JD hooligans, there'd be no need to provide them with weapons). I started to creep away, dodging the bombs, and decided if I could find some way to hide my face, maybe they'd think I was another one of them. (Don't know why this'd help as they were killing each other anyway, but this is Yamagata.)
Anyway, I was running over the ground when someone shot at me, and then this guy ran over and was like 'Down here!' and we both dived into this tiny hole in the ground. There were two Clowns in there, hiding out, and they said I could hide with them. I remember curling up into a ball so that any light shining through the hole wouldn't glint on my eyes.
Then this girl (who looked like Lin from Spirited Away) found us. She had knives hidden on her person, and was threatening us, but in a leisurely, 'maybe I won't kill you yet' sort of way. She dropped one of the knives, and I was trying to smuggle it away from her; then I woke up.
I then dreamt that I was sitting an exam on Battle Royale, and had the essay question 'Which incarnation of Mizuho Inada do you like best? Discuss'. I made some quite good points ^_^
Anyway, this BR dream showed me trusting people more, which I think is a good sign. I also thought it was interesting in that it sort of showed how you could ring the changes on original BR fic - have more people wanting to kill, and have it more focused on one person. Uh, that sounds crap. But I know what I meant.
Oooh - and I finished my Akira script! I now have an entire script of both dubs. Yay me.

-- You remind me of something I found amusing about Shakespeare plays, and Elizabethan theatre in general. The Royal Shakespeare Company would encounter puzzlement and react with disgust, were they somehow transported to the old Globe; it was not an activity to which you wore good clothes, what with the beer and rotten vegetables being flung about. Moreover, some of the uncertainty of Shakespeare's authorship stems from the ability of some people then to watch a play, go home and write it, then publish it as their own. Prodigious memories.
