What Political Party Do Your Beliefs Put You In?
created with QuizFarm.com

So... I'm a democratic environmentally-focused anarchist?
Excuse the cackling with amusement. (Well, ok, I think I'm more Democrat than Republican from the little I know about the two sides, but the other two... hah.)
It was kind of a hard quiz to answer, though. I don't have an opinion on a lot of stuff.

Who else is love?
[livejournal.com profile] pseudomonas me scripsit anno 2005

Attempting to revise computing, but the dreaded apathy (which others of my peer group have already suffered) is eating me alive. Unfortunate, as I have the two most difficult exams on Thursday and Friday. Computing I'm feeling is kind of a lost cause because I didn't do enough work during the term, but Sequences, Real Numbers And Series I just need to motivate myself to learn everything in the notes inside out *cue sardonic laughter*

Snuffy
Snuffy's Suicide Attempts

Poor baby, life is rough for you, huh? No one
seems to see you, no one notices your
pain--except for your friend Big Bird, but he's
alway off hanging out with his other friends.
You wish you were him, all happy and curious
and popular and bright yellow. You feel like
his shadow anymore, like the only reason you
exist is to amuse him. It's hard being
somebody's imaginary friend. But stop trying
to kill yourself--imaginary people can't kill
themselves. Sorry. And hey, maybe tomorrow
you'll feel better!
Someday people will see you, I promise.

Which Sesame Street Muppet's Dark Secret Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Wait, what, Snuffy was imaginary? But... but... how can this be? None of the Muppets are real! Surely if he's the imaginary friend of someone imaginary, they cancel each other out and he's real (i multiplied by i = -1, a real number, where i is the square root of -1 and therefore imaginary. Ah, mathematicians, you too are on crack.)

Now, do I listen to Moskau for the second time in five minutes?
Yes, I think I do.

First exam in six hours... see me procrastinate... la la la...
To be honest, if I'm not prepared enough for this one, I'm sunk on all the others. Maybe after I've taken this exam, exams in general will seem more real. At the moment I feel rather detached from uni/work, despite revising reasonably well.

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone!

1. My username is ___ because ___.
2. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
3. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.

1: "Versipellis" because it is Latin for werewolf, and I used to joke around with my friends when I was ten, pretending to be a werewolf and howling. When I was trying to pick a username, all my choices were already taken, so I seized on it in desperation.
2: "Hello. My name is Tallulah" because I've adapted a quote from The Princess Bride which is continued in the subtitle...
2: "You mangled grammar. Prepare to die". Also alludes to my reputation on the old ff.net JSR section for being nitpicky about grammar.
4: "Friends" because I'm too useless at LJ lazy to change it.
5: My little cartoon version of me because it's all-purpose and cute.

Ahem. I mean, of course, that I handed my computing coursework in today, and this is a good thing (despite panic over whether the file was readable, solved when a girl from the musicals society (coincidentally playing the lead in our production of Sweet Charity) kindly let me check using her filespace. Charity, baby, you'll probably never read this, but I LOVE YOU FOR THAT.)

The Rule: The first player of this 'game' starts with "Five Quirky Habits of Yourself" and the people tagged next need to then write a LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules clearly. Lastly, you'll need to list the next five people who you want to tag.

(Only, as usual, I can't be bothered to tag.)

1: I talk to myself. Seriously, I can hardly ever think something through without speaking my thoughts out loud, and it usually turns into a dialogue between three people - a bitch, a scared little girl, and a peacemaker.

2: When I'm stressed, I bite the skin on my knuckles or at the side of my thumbs.

3: Sometimes, when I'm stressed, my foot starts to twitch. I'm not sure if I do it on purpose or not.

4: I hum while walking down the road - don't do that as much as I used to, but still do it.

5: I've started tilting my head 45 degrees when I'm confused about something ^_^ I blame Kiriyama.

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

Instructions: take the first sentence (or 2) from the first post of each month of 2005. That's your year in review.

January: Things that make me feel despairing when I think about university

February: It is extremely annoying to think that a text is contradicting itself.

March: A non-slash, non-NC-17 Akira fic is up here. It's about what Kaneda and Kei might have been like as parents.

April: Very eerie movie. Very, very eerie.

May: Ow. I have earache. OW. That's all I can think of to say. (Okay, so it's three sentences :p)

June: Liked Ford and Arthur. I'm beginning to think Arthur is kind of a difficult part to play, because neither of the two guys I've seen doing it I've felt got it totally right, but this one was okay.

July: Our computer has now really died. I am in the library.

August: I'm back home after an absolutely hideous train journey which I don't feel the need to recount - let's just say that at the cinema today there was an ad for Virgin trains and Nik went ballistic...

September: I like: - My aunt and cousin (actually, they're all my cousins, but the genealogy is too confusing, so I'm calling them my aunt and my cousin for simplicity's sake)

October: This one started off not very accurate, but then suddenly got scarily so. I only hope 'illusory or meaningless activities' doesn't refer to fanfic...

November: It's my birthday on November 13th! I miss getting hysterically excited about things like this... ^_^

December: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DISK!

Oh Great Cthulhu!

I have been an extremely industrious devotee this year.

In July, I burnt my copy of the Necronomicon (-75 points). When the stars were right, I recruited [info]eclipse_fics as a new cultist (30 points). In March, I visited my relatives in Innsmouth (100 points). In September, I fed [info]audiolotus to a Shoggoth (250 points). In August, I rammed a ship into you (sorry Cthulhu!) (-1000 points). In October, I bombed a cultist gathering (-100 points).

In short, I have been very bad (-795 points) and deserve to be flayed alive.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In September I pulled [livejournal.com profile] emeraldsword's hair (-5 points). Last Friday I pulled over and changed [livejournal.com profile] lycoris's flat tire (15 points). In November I caught a purse-snatcher who stole [livejournal.com profile] ecchipiro's purse (30 points). Last week I donated bone marrow to [livejournal.com profile] fox_in_sand in a life-saving procedure (300 points). Last Saturday I stole [livejournal.com profile] speakwrite_'s purse (-30 points).

Overall, I've been nice (310 points). For Christmas I deserve a pony!

1. Comment with any pairing (or character, or threesome, or platonic relationship, or theory, or whatever. Multiple suggestions are also fine) from a fandom (or fandoms, crossovers are fine) that you know I like, or at least have some knowledge about.
2. I will ramble for about 100 words (I may [read: probably will] go over a bit) about the aforementioned relationship/character/theory. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on what it is. If the theory/relationship is sufficiently intriguing or ridiculous, you may also get random snippets of fic as I try to work it out.
3. Put this on your LJ, if you are so inclined.

I think I've done the following meme before... but I'm bored, so I'll do it again.
You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

1) Shotaro Kaneda
2) Severus Snape
3) Beat
4) Tab
5) Yamagata

7) Tetsuo
8) Gum
9) Mitsuru Numai
10) Shinji Mimura
11) Ron Weasley
12) Kyoichi Motobuchi

The Questions. Warning: much slash )

In other news, I did go to the anime and sci-fi club on Friday. I had to leave halfway through to catch the last bus, but I still went! I saw the first episodes of the following animes:
- Azumanga Daioh - which is on crack and features a character so sugary-sweet I almost went into diabetic shock. On the other hand, it is set in a school, which is nice, and if it didn't get more random I would probably keep watching it.
- Nadesico - which has giant robots and which I really liked, because it was very funny, but still had some angst and post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Wolf's Rain - which was extremely solemn after the last two, but has beautiful backgrounds and cityscapes. Also kind of an interesting plot, involving werewolves.
- Magic Children (or something like that - ____ Children, anyway) - the animation in this was quite ugly and also we hopped 159 years in the first episode. I didn't really feel that involved in the story, although it got good towards the end (quite disorientating was when this little kid showed up in it who had exactly the same hairstyle as Kai).
- KareKano (again, I think this was the title) - I really really liked this. It was quite random, with chibifying and super-deformation, but these worked really well to convey the characters' feelings. Also again it was a school-based anime.

Adding up the time this has taken I'm sure there must have been another anime in there somewhere, but I have no idea what it was.
